Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Germano Barral kicked off to start the match. Ricardinho Palmeira made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Elias Alvarenga in the 4th minute of play. If Germano Barral had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 6th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The Melissa fans' excitement grew in the 10th match minute when Melissa's Dedê Meira looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. In the 13th minute, Cristóvão Souto hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After some fancy dribbling in the 14th minute, Dedê Meira managed to get in a good position for a shot. Melissa's supporters rose to their feet, but Dedê Meira was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Tostão Oliveira breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Elias Alvarenga's late challenge caught a Melissa's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Elias Alvarenga helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Melissa booed when Carolina SS was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 16 match minutes in a wonderful position. Elias Alvarenga didn't get a good kick on the ball. Ciro Teles scored 1-1 in the 18th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Ricardinho Palmeira, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After 23 minutes, Manoel Passos mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Melissa and the Carolina SS players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Melissa getting a freekick after 25 minutes play. Mathias Cabral hit a great ball. Ciro Teles received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 26th minute. Ricardinho Palmeira tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Germano Barral took the ball and in the 37 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Tostão Oliveira. Tostão Oliveira dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-2. Manolo Sarmento kicked well hit freekick during the 44th minute of the match. A collision led to Carolina SS getting a freekick after 47 minutes play. Ramón Pombal hit a great ball. After 48 played minutes, Melissa's Cristian Toscano shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Tostão Oliveira came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Melissa reached it.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Elias Alvarenga was the one to do the kick off. Ricardinho Palmeira showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ciro Teles in the 52nd minute of the match. Dedê Meira recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 57th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The supporters of Carolina SS booed when Melissa was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 59 match minutes in a wonderful position. João Francisco Ferreira didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Manoel Passos was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 62 minutes had been played. After a rather tough play, Melissa's Manoel Passos got a free kick in the 63rd minute. Américo Reis hit a great freekick 65 minutes into the match. When the match had gone on for 66 minutes, Dedê Meira took a quick shot and it went in 1-3 without a chance for Tostão Oliveira to make any attempt to save it. In the 70th minute Ciro Teles shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ricardinho Palmeira saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ricardinho Palmeira took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Elias Alvarenga, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Dedê Meira came up free with the goalie in the 77th minute, the Melissa fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Dedê Meira couldn't finish the play. 79 minutes into the match, Melissa's goal looked a bit too open when Elias Alvarenga came free, but Ricardinho Palmeira reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Cristóvão Souto charged in rather forcefully in the 87th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Cristóvão Souto the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Ciro Teles received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 96th minute. Ricardinho Palmeira tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Melissa's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
