The supporters of Itacaramby booed when Marituba SS was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 14 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jorginho Zonta didn't get a good kick on the ball. Rubinho Pena took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Erivaldo Trancoso, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Ciro Botelho fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 23rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Kauã Pirani having to interfere. Cido Sarmento sent away a hard shot on goal in the 27th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Erivaldo Trancoso came up free with the goalie in the 28th minute, the Itacaramby fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Erivaldo Trancoso couldn't finish the play. In the 34th minute, Ciro Botelho made a precise shot to the right of Kauã Pirani. Itacaramby's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. Kauã Pirani showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Oséas Couto, who was totally free with the ball in the 38th minute. The crowd rose to their feet as Itacaramby's Erivaldo Trancoso slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Rubinho Pena. That made the score 1-1 after 45 minutes of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Jorginho Zonta during the 51st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Jorginho Zonta didn't get a good kick on the ball. 53 minutes into the match, Marituba SS's goal looked a bit too open when Erivaldo Trancoso came free, but Rubinho Pena reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Cido Sarmento had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 56th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Cido Sarmento struck a weak shot in the 86th minute. Rubinho Pena didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Itacaramby. Neither set of supporters seemed pleased with the draw, but both teams had played equally well today.
