After a defensive mix-up in Saquarema SS's zone, Celso Perez stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Tomé Torres came out of the goal and Celso Perez tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Agrovila AD's Luisinho Cearense played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gualter Nascimento in the 7th minute of play. In the 12thth minute of the game Gualter Nascimento who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Agrovila AD's Luisinho Cearense was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. A collision led to Saquarema SS getting a freekick after 12 minutes play. Patrício Paraibano hit a great ball. In the 16th minute, Saquarema SS's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Celso Perez fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Saquarema SS's Gualter Nascimento got a good chance for a goal in the 22nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Gualter Nascimento sent away a hard shot on goal in the 24th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Yuri Cavalcante had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 26th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Agrovila AD's Celso Perez in the 27th minute got a chance for a shot 27th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Saquarema SS's goalie prevented a goal. 30 minutes into the match, Agrovila AD's goal looked a bit too open when Gualter Nascimento came free, but Luisinho Cearense reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 31 played minutes Saquarema SS got a freekick which was hit by Célio França. The supporters of Agrovila AD booed when Saquarema SS was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 35 match minutes in a wonderful position. Rafael Silveira didn't get a good kick on the ball. Luisinho Cearense took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gualter Nascimento, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Celso Perez to make the kick off. Armando Perez charged in rather forcefully in the 51st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Armando Perez the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Saquarema SS booed when Agrovila AD was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 52 match minutes in a wonderful position. Armando Perez didn't get a good kick on the ball. Tomé Torres made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Celso Perez in the 60th minute of play. In the 61st minute, Olívio Cearense hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After some fancy dribbling in the 66th minute, Gualter Nascimento managed to get in a good position for a shot. Saquarema SS's supporters rose to their feet, but Gualter Nascimento was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Luisinho Cearense breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Luisinho Cearense made a fantastic save in the 68th minute, when Gualter Nascimento sent off a good shot on target. Yuri Cavalcante sent away a hard shot on goal in the 70th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. A collision led to Agrovila AD getting a freekick after 75 minutes play. Betão Gerber hit a great ball. If Celso Perez had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 89th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A collision led to Saquarema SS getting a freekick after 90 minutes play. Olívio Cearense hit a great ball. Celso Perez recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 91st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Yuri Cavalcante sent away a hard shot on goal in the 93rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. A collision led to Saquarema SS getting a freekick after 94 minutes play. Célio França hit a great ball. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Agrovila AD fans cheered their team off the field, for while Saquarema SS had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
