The audience thought a goal was coming when Yuri Cavalcante got free with Lauro Pontes in the 6th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 12th minute, Cláudio Andrade got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Lauro Pontes made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Celso Perez in the 18th minute of play. Lauro Pontes took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Celso Perez, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 23 minutes into the match, Rodonopolis's goal looked a bit too open when Celso Perez came free, but Lauro Pontes reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 28thth minute of the game Celso Perez who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Rodonopolis's Lauro Pontes was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The supporters of Rodonopolis booed when Agrovila AD was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 33 match minutes in a wonderful position. Betão Gerber didn't get a good kick on the ball. Rodonopolis's Renan Nascimento couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 34th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Agrovila AD. Luisinho Cearense showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cláudio Andrade, who was totally free with the ball in the 36th minute. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Murillo Pena stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 52nd minute, Celso Perez got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The supporters of Rodonopolis booed when Agrovila AD was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 58 match minutes in a wonderful position. Betão Gerber didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 64th minute of the match Tony Pimenta sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Luisinho Cearense skillfully saved the ball. In the 66th minute Celso Perez shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Lauro Pontes saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a rather tough play, Rodonopolis's Victor Lira got a free kick in the 67th minute. After 68 minutes, Cláudio Andrade mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Rodonopolis and the Agrovila AD players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 79 played minutes Agrovila AD got a freekick which was hit by Armando Perez. After having played for 82 minutes, Yuri Cavalcante managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Agrovila AD's supporters crossed their fingers, but Yuri Cavalcante was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Lauro Pontes showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Celso Perez in the 84th minute of the match. After a rather tough play, Rodonopolis's Tiago Gabriel Melo got a free kick in the 86th minute. Lauro Pontes stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Celso Perez's shot from short distance in the 94th minute. Both teams had looked equal from kick-off, and no-one was surprised when the match finally ended in a draw.
