Spectators: 34 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Rafael Silveira started the match with the kick off. Donatello Gomes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 3rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tomé Torres having to interfere. If Rafael Silveira had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 5th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Giovani Ribeiro came out of the goal in the 7th minute to try and stop a shot by Saquarema SS's Rafael Silveira. But to his dismay, Rafael Silveira quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. Gualter Nascimento struck a weak shot in the 11th minute. Giovani Ribeiro didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Saquarema SS. 19 minutes into the game, Célio França was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Saquarema SS's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Guaraquicaba the free kick. The supporters of Guaraquicaba booed when Saquarema SS was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 19 match minutes in a wonderful position. Célio França didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 22nd minute, Rafa Matos got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Tomé Torres showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Luiz Fernando Brasil in the 24th minute of the match. Saquarema SS's Rafael Silveira got a good chance for a goal in the 27th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Giovani Ribeiro showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Rafael Silveira, who was totally free with the ball in the 32nd minute. After a rather tough play, Guaraquicaba's Donatello Gomes got a free kick in the 34th minute. When Gugu Barros fell near the penalty area in the 36th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Guaraquicaba's protests and gave Gugu Barros a yellow card for diving instead. Gualter Nascimento struck a weak shot in the 37th minute. Giovani Ribeiro didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Saquarema SS. Patrício Paraibano hit a great freekick 42 minutes into the match. Rafael Silveira sent away a hard shot on goal in the 45th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 48 minutes into the match, Guaraquicaba's goal looked a bit too open when Gualter Nascimento came free, but Giovani Ribeiro reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After the first half Saquarema SS were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Luiz Fernando Brasil stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 52nd play minute Gualter Nascimento came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Giovani Ribeiro. 0-3. Gualter Nascimento's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 59thth minute, Giovani Ribeiro skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. If Gualter Nascimento had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 64th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 66th match minute, Guaraquicaba was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Cafu Mazza to maneuver through the defense. Gualter Nascimento sent away a hard shot on goal in the 68th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In a very dangerous position, a player in Guaraquicaba fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 70th minute. Penalty! Tomé Torres took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Luiz Fernando Brasil, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Rafael Silveira received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 77th minute. Giovani Ribeiro tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 78 played minutes Guaraquicaba got a freekick which was hit by Gugu Barros. Rafael Silveira fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 82nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Giovani Ribeiro having to interfere. After having played for 85 minutes, Gualter Nascimento managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Saquarema SS's supporters crossed their fingers, but Gualter Nascimento was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 87th minute, Rafael Silveira got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. If Rafa Matos had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 92nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Amílton Costa kicked well hit freekick during the 97th minute of the match.
