After a defensive mix-up in Cedrolandia's zone, Laerte Salgado stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Zé Pedro Recife came out of the goal and Laerte Salgado tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Sandrinho Mandrak kicked well hit freekick during the 24th minute of the match. Birra's Diamantino Jacinto got a good chance for a goal in the 33rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Washington Netto sent away a hard shot on goal in the 41st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Washington Netto fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 44th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Zé Pedro Recife having to interfere. In the 47th minute, Sandrinho Mandrak hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Wiliam Dantas took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 48th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Zé Pedro Recife. Cedrolandia's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Patrício Bastos was the one to do the kick off. The audience was convinced that Washington Netto's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Zé Pedro Recife was relentless in the 52nd minute of the game. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Birra had played much better football throughout.
