Itapipoca SC's Enrique Aguiar played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Natã da Silva in the 4th minute of play. In the 4th match minute, Itapipoca SC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Olívio Dias to maneuver through the defense. Clóvis Carvalho could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 5th minute of the match, but Enrique Aguiar made a huge save. Gilberto Rosado sent away a hard shot on goal in the 7th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Dalmo Vinhas took the ball and in the 8 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Arthur Borges. Arthur Borges dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. If Natã da Silva had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 11th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The audience thought a goal was coming when Clóvis Carvalho got free with Enrique Aguiar in the 13th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Arthur Borges showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Dalmo Vinhas, who was totally free with the ball in the 14th minute. When Clóvis Carvalho came up free with the goalie in the 17th minute, the Nenem FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Clóvis Carvalho couldn't finish the play. Enrique Aguiar made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Natã da Silva in the 18th minute of play. Enrique Aguiar took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Natã da Silva, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 30th minute of the match Dedé Severo sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Enrique Aguiar skillfully saved the ball. In the 34th minute of the match, Natã da Silva tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Enrique Aguiar saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. In the 41st minute, Ernesto Tasso hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Gilberto Rosado to strike the kick off in the second half. Dalmo Vinhas struck a weak shot in the 52nd minute. Arthur Borges didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Itapipoca SC. After 56 played minutes Nenem FC got a freekick which was hit by José Coutinho. 60 minutes into the game, Régis Lopes was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Nenem FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Itapipoca SC the free kick. When José Coutinho fell near the penalty area in the 63rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Nenem FC's protests and gave José Coutinho a yellow card for diving instead. Natã da Silva's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Enrique Aguiar read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 69th minute of play. In the 71st minute, Gilberto Rosado got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After 74 minutes of play Nenem FC's José Coutinho was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. Nenem FC's Arthur Borges played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gilberto Rosado in the 76th minute of play. Dalmo Vinhas sent away a hard shot on goal in the 82nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 87 minutes into the match, Nenem FC's goal looked a bit too open when Gilberto Rosado came free, but Arthur Borges reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Dalmo Vinhass short, quick shot in the 93rdth minute got Arthur Borges to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 95th minute of the game. One of Itapipoca SC:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Nenem FC:s goal. The Itapipoca SC players were the happier at the end of the match as they had prevented Nenem FC from taking control. The game ends in a draw.
