An unexpectedly hard shot by Donatello Meira in the 11th minute of play forced Jacuarana SS's goalkeeper Reynaldo Montenegro to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Cristóvão Eger fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 13th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Oswaldo Cordeiro having to interfere. Alexandre Mello sent away a hard shot on goal in the 16th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Alexandre Mello in the 18th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Reynaldo Montenegro saved Jacuarana SS from getting behind. 25 minutes into the match, Perdido's goalkeeper Oswaldo Cordeiro had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Cristóvão Eger. Simão Oliveira sent away a hard shot on goal in the 30th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Alexandre Mello fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 38th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Reynaldo Montenegro having to interfere. Alexandre Mello might have been able to make a better finish in the 40th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Reynaldo Montenegro. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Alexandre Mello ran back to his position shaking his head. After some fancy dribbling in the 42nd minute, Donatello Meira managed to get in a good position for a shot. Perdido's supporters rose to their feet, but Donatello Meira was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Reynaldo Montenegro breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Cristóvão Eger received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 44th minute. Oswaldo Cordeiro tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Simão Oliveira stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. 57 minutes into the match, Jacuarana SS's goalkeeper Reynaldo Montenegro had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Donatello Meira. The Jacuarana SS fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. Both teams had looked equal from kick-off, and no-one was surprised when the match finally ended in a draw.
