Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Kléber Paraíba started the match with the kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Kléber Paraíba in the 6th minute of play forced Marabitana's goalkeeper Delfim Arruda to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Delfim Arruda didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Claudinei Pereira went, in the 7th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. Claudinei Pereira's late challenge caught a Marabitana's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Claudinei Pereira helped the player get up and apologised. In the 12th match minute, Chargeada was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Claudinei Pereira to maneuver through the defense. Válter Lago made an important save on a dangerous shot by Valdir Sabóia in the 14th minute. After having played for 16 minutes, Valdomiro Soeiro managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Marabitana's supporters crossed their fingers, but Valdomiro Soeiro was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Luís Fabiano Xavier received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 18th minute. Válter Lago tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Válter Lago made an important save on a dangerous shot by Valdomiro Soeiro in the 19th minute. Valdir Sabóia hit a great freekick 26 minutes into the match. Marabitana's Delfim Arruda played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Claudinei Pereira in the 28th minute of play. If Kléber Paraíba had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 31st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Chargeada's Kléber Paraíba in the 34th minute got a chance for a shot 34th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Claudinei Pereiras short, quick shot in the 56thth minute got Delfim Arruda to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Kléber Paraíba was extremely unlucky when he, in the 66th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. Válter Lago made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Valdomiro Soeiro in the 71st minute of play. In the 72nd minute, Claudinei Pereira got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 78th minute Valdomiro Soeiro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Válter Lago saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Valdomiro Soeiro fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 79th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Válter Lago having to interfere. Claudinei Pereira's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 86thth minute, Delfim Arruda skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. When Edson Arce fell near the penalty area in the 89th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Marabitana's protests and gave Edson Arce a yellow card for diving instead. In the 90th match minute, Marabitana was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Edson Arce to maneuver through the defense. Chargeada's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Ademar da Mata in the 93rd minute. If Kléber Paraíba had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 94th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The Marabitana supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Chargeada's performance. The match ended with a win for Chargeada.
