Spectators: 33 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Emanuel Gomes started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. Sydney Reis scored 0-1 in the 4th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Marcelo Cruz, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 11th minute Sydney Reis shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Marcelo Cruz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Orlando de Queirós made an important save on a dangerous shot by Delfim Lago in the 18th minute. A collision led to Guacu getting a freekick after 20 minutes play. Walmyr Luz hit a great ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 25th minute, Sydney Reis managed to get in a good position for a shot. Joaninha's supporters rose to their feet, but Sydney Reis was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Marcelo Cruz breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 27 minutes into the match, Emanuel Gomes dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Orlando de Queirós, 1-1. 33 minutes into the match, Guacu's goal looked a bit too open when Eugênio Negri came free, but Marcelo Cruz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Guacu's zone, Eugênio Negri stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Marcelo Cruz came out of the goal and Eugênio Negri tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Walmyr Luz got his second yellow card in the match during the 36th minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. After a rather tough play, Guacu's Walmyr Luz got a free kick in the 37th minute. In the 43rd minute, Gilberto Moura got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Delfim Lago blasted a shot towards the goal in the 46th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Orlando de Queirós having to make a save. With a little luck, Joaninha's Orlando de Queirós got control of the ball when Gilberto Moura tried to sneak it across the goal line. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Eugênio Negri stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gilberto Moura in the 52nd minute of play forced Joaninha's goalkeeper Orlando de Queirós to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 53 played minutes Joaninha got a freekick which was hit by Duda Cearense. Gil Meireles hit a great freekick 54 minutes into the match. Marcelo Cruz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Eugênio Negri in the 56th minute of the match. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Dionísio Araújo during the 63rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After having played for 66 minutes, Delfim Lago managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Guacu's supporters crossed their fingers, but Delfim Lago was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 67th minute, Luiz Fernando Guerra hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Orlando de Queirós showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Delfim Lago, who was totally free with the ball in the 70th minute. After a rather tough play, Guacu's Delfim Lago got a free kick in the 72nd minute. In the 76th match minute, Guacu was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gilberto Moura to maneuver through the defense. Gilberto Moura struck a weak shot in the 80th minute. Orlando de Queirós didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Guacu. Delfim Lago received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 87th minute. Orlando de Queirós tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Delfim Lago came up free with the goalie in the 89th minute, the Guacu fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Delfim Lago couldn't finish the play. If Emanuel Gomes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 91st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Delfim Lago recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 94th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Guacu were unable to convert their possession into goals, allowing Joaninha to leave the ground with a draw.
