Trempes EC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Geremoabo the free kick. After 5 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Trempes EC! The referee gave Geremoabo a penalty, 7 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Tadeu da Costa, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Trempes EC's Dudu Favoretto. 0-1. Jânio Maranhense sent away a hard shot on goal in the 16th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Jânio Maranhense scored 0-2 in the 19th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Dudu Favoretto, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 23rd minute, Wágner Rosado hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After having played for 28 minutes, Luiz Fabiano Moraes managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Geremoabo's supporters crossed their fingers, but Luiz Fabiano Moraes was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Jânio Maranhense fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 30th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dudu Favoretto having to interfere. After 31 played minutes Trempes EC got a freekick which was hit by Tibúrcio da Fonseca. Dudu Favoretto took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jânio Maranhense, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Wágner Rosado received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 36th minute. Hernani Mandrak tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 40th minute Jânio Maranhense shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dudu Favoretto saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Hernani Mandrak made a fantastic save in the 42nd minute, when Wágner Rosado sent off a good shot on target. An unexpectedly hard shot by Luiz Fabiano Moraes in the 44th minute of play forced Trempes EC's goalkeeper Dudu Favoretto to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.

The wind increased when César Magalhães made the kick off in the second half. Luiz Fabiano Moraes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 53rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dudu Favoretto having to interfere. In the 56th minute, Tibúrcio da Fonseca hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Hernani Mandrak was left in no man's land by his defense there! César Magalhães sent away a hard shot on goal in the 85th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Hernani Mandrak showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Wágner Rosado, who was totally free with the ball in the 95th minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Jânio Maranhense got free with Dudu Favoretto in the 97th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Geremoabo had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
