In the 15th match minute, Andreza SS was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jaime Magalhães to maneuver through the defense. 16 minutes into the game, Silvério Amorim recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Hermínio Melo. Silvério Amorim showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-0. After 20 played minutes Andreza SS got a freekick which was hit by Ademir Silveira. Hermínio Melo had great luck who in the 21stth minute grab hold of the ball when Silvério Amorim from a short distance tried to put the ball inside the right post. Silvério Amorim sent away a hard shot on goal in the 24th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 28thth minute of the game Paulão Macedo who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Grama SC's Cícero Urbano was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. If Paulão Macedo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 34th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Cícero Urbano showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Paulão Macedo in the 41st minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in Grama SC's zone, Dino Carioca stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Cícero Urbano came out of the goal and Dino Carioca tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Paulão Macedo made a kick off. The supporters of Andreza SS booed when Grama SC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 53 match minutes in a wonderful position. Anísio Pena didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Paulão Macedo fell near the penalty area in the 54th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Andreza SS's protests and gave Paulão Macedo a yellow card for diving instead. The crowd rose to their feet as Andreza SS's Dino Carioca slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Cícero Urbano. That made the score 1-1 after 56 minutes of play. In the 62nd match minute, Andreza SS was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ademir Silveira to maneuver through the defense. Cícero Urbano made an important save on a dangerous shot by Dino Carioca in the 73rd minute. Hermínio Melo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Alexsandro Zilles, who was totally free with the ball in the 78th minute. When Silvério Amorim came up free with the goalie in the 83rd minute, the Grama SC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Silvério Amorim couldn't finish the play. When Dino Carioca came up free with the goalie in the 87th minute, the Andreza SS fans jumped to their feet. Both teams had looked equal from kick-off, and no-one was surprised when the match finally ended in a draw.
