When the match clock showed 23 minutes, the score became 1-2 when Gino Pombal sped through Mutari SS's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Rubens Perez. Rubens Perez made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Luiz Gustavo Silva in the 34th minute of play. A collision led to Mutari SS getting a freekick after 41 minutes play. Magno das Neves hit a great ball. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Raí Rosa to make the kick off. Gino Pombal received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 59th minute. Rubens Perez tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Rodolfo Damião during the 62nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Raí Rosa recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 64th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Vladimir Sabóia didn't succeed to prevent the ball from going into goal when Mutari SS's Donato Bueno shot an unexpected shot in the crossbar's under edge and made 3-2 in the ordered_time% minute. Vladimir Sabóia showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Raí Rosa in the 77th minute of the match. Vladimir Sabóia made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Donato Bueno in the 91st minute of play. Luiz Gustavo Silvas short, quick shot in the 94thth minute got Rubens Perez to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in.
