The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Filipe Gaspar might have been able to make a better finish in the 6th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Marcos Romero. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Filipe Gaspar ran back to his position shaking his head. Diamantino Barros sent away a hard shot on goal in the 11th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Filipe Gaspar had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 14th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 15 minutes into the game, Ronaldão Vides was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Delvino SS's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Serrolandia the free kick. Ronaldão Vides kicked well hit freekick during the 15th minute of the match. Filipe Gaspar fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 18th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Marcos Romero having to interfere. If Filipe Gaspar had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 21st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Sílvio Maciel kicked well hit freekick during the 25th minute of the match. Jeferson Arruda came out of the goal in the 27th minute to try and stop a shot by Delvino SS's Isaltino Quintal. But to his dismay, Isaltino Quintal quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. Filipe Gaspar sent away a hard shot on goal in the 33rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Juvenal Vieira had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 35th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Marcos Romero made a fantastic save in the 37th minute, when Filipe Gaspar sent off a good shot on target. Serrolandia's Jeferson Arruda played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Diamantino Barros in the 39th minute of play. If Isaltino Quintal had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 41st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Mathias de Almeida hit a great freekick 42 minutes into the match. In the 44th match minute, Serrolandia was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Sidney Freire to maneuver through the defense. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

Jeferson Arruda showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Diamantino Barros in the 57th minute of the match. Juvenal Vieira's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Marcos Romero read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 64th minute of play. In the 68th minute Juvenal Vieira shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Marcos Romero saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With a little luck, Serrolandia's Jeferson Arruda got control of the ball when Isaltino Quintal tried to sneak it across the goal line. Sílvio Maciel charged in rather forcefully in the 75th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Sílvio Maciel the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 76 played minutes Delvino SS got a freekick which was hit by Sílvio Maciel. Filipe Gaspar sent away a hard shot on goal in the 77th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Delvino SS's Marcos Romero played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Filipe Gaspar in the 80th minute of play. If Filipe Gaspar had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 84th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 88th minute Juvenal Vieira shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Marcos Romero saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 93rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Serrolandia's goalkeeper Jeferson Arruda, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 94 minutes into the match, Serrolandia's goalkeeper Jeferson Arruda had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Isaltino Quintal. The Serrolandia supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Delvino SS's performance. The match ended with a win for Delvino SS.
