If Diamantino Barros had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 6th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Diamantino Barros received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 16th minute. Patrick Bueno tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Isaltino Quintal could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 20th minute of the match, but Patrick Bueno made a huge save. After 21st play minutes Diamantino Barros shot 2-0, a short shot which went by Patrick Bueno and just under the crossbar into goal. Maurício Silva fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 25th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Marcos Romero having to interfere. If Isaltino Quintal had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 31st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of Delvino SS booed when Birigui SC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 35 match minutes in a wonderful position. Bebeto Mendonça didn't get a good kick on the ball. Delvino SS's Gil Matorin couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 36th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Birigui SC. Joel da Rocha's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Marcos Romero read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 40th minute of play. The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Diamantino Barros was the one to do the kick off. Birigui SC's Patrick Bueno played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Diamantino Barros in the 53rd minute of play. Aluísio Magalhães kicked well hit freekick during the 54th minute of the match. Delvino SS's Gil Matorin couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 55th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Birigui SC. Marcos Romero made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Joel da Rocha in the 57th minute of play. Birigui SC's Patrick Bueno played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Diamantino Barros in the 60th minute of play. Sílvio Maciel's late challenge caught a Birigui SC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Sílvio Maciel helped the player get up and apologised. Patrick Bueno breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Joel da Rocha sent away a hard shot on goal in the 85th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Manfredo Meireles fell near the penalty area in the 87th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Delvino SS's protests and gave Manfredo Meireles a yellow card for diving instead. In the 87th match minute, Delvino SS was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Manfredo Meireles to maneuver through the defense. If Diamantino Barros had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 91st minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Isaltino Quintal fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 91st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Patrick Bueno having to interfere. In the 98thth minute of the game Joel da Rocha who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Delvino SS's Marcos Romero was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. For all the effort they put into the match, the Birigui SC players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Delvino SS.
