Spectators: 34 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Gerno's Carlinhos Messias started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 2nd minute, Dé Saldanha hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 4th minute, Victor Rocha got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Elder Vianna's late challenge caught a Gerno's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Elder Vianna helped the player get up and apologised. After 5 played minutes Lanacre got a freekick which was hit by Elder Vianna. Victor Rocha sent away a hard shot on goal in the 9th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 12th minute, Toninho Trancoso hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Robinho Leite took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Carlinhos Messias, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 16 minutes into the match, Lanacre's Carlos Alberto Gaspar sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Cláudio Salgado narrowly saved just below the crossbar. When Luís Fernando Soeiro came up free with the goalie in the 19th minute, the Lanacre fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Luís Fernando Soeiro couldn't finish the play. Carlos Alberto Gaspar sent away a hard shot on goal in the 21st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Luís Fernando Soeiro could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 23rd minute of the match, but Cláudio Salgado made a huge save. In the 26th match minute, Lanacre was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Luís Fernando Soeiro to maneuver through the defense. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Carlos Alberto Gaspar in the 29th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Cláudio Salgado saved Gerno from getting behind. After 30 played minutes Gerno got a freekick which was hit by Sidney Barral. Cláudio Salgado was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 31st minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Carlos Moreno. Luís Fernando Soeiro who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 32ndth minute tested the skills of Cláudio Salgado when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Robinho Leite showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Carlinhos Messias, who was totally free with the ball in the 34th minute. Carlinhos Messias fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 35th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Robinho Leite having to interfere. 38 minutes into the game, Lanacre's Luís Fernando Soeiro nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Cláudio Salgado made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Carlos Alberto Gaspar was the one to do the kick off. Gerno's Sidney Barral got a good chance for a goal in the 52nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Carlos Alberto Gaspar recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 53rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Through an outstanding action, after 67 minutes, Robinho Leite successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Robinho Leite showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Carlinhos Messias in the 74th minute of the match. The audience was convinced that Luís Fernando Soeiro's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Cláudio Salgado was relentless in the 78th minute of the game. Luís Fernando Soeiro fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 80th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cláudio Salgado having to interfere. When Elder Vianna was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 95 minutes had been played. A collision led to Lanacre getting a freekick after 96 minutes play. Elder Vianna hit a great ball. Lanacre were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Gerno for a fine match.
