Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Frank Sena kicked off to start the match. Víktor Paraíba hit a great freekick 3 minutes into the match. When the match clock showed 7 minutes, the score became 0-1 when Simão Neiva sped through Capinal's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Régis Coelho. Váldson Luz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 11th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. If Váldson Luz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 13th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of Capinal booed when Guaianeses SS was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 15 match minutes in a wonderful position. Eduardo Félix didn't get a good kick on the ball. Víktor Paraíba struck a weak shot in the 16th minute. Dráuzio Soeiro didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Capinal. With a little luck, Guaianeses SS's Dráuzio Soeiro got control of the ball when Váldson Luz tried to sneak it across the goal line. When Guaianeses SS's Simão Neiva in the 20th minute got a chance for a shot 20th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. In the 22nd minute Víktor Paraíba shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dráuzio Soeiro saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Frank Sena in the 24th minute of play forced Capinal's goalkeeper Régis Coelho to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Frank Sena had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 25th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Simão Neiva fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 25th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Régis Coelho having to interfere. If Frank Sena had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 28th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. If Simão Neiva had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 30th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Capinal's Váldson Luz got a good chance for a goal in the 37th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Frank Sena sent away a hard shot on goal in the 42nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 44th minute, Simão Neiva got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 45th match minute, Capinal was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Rony Pontes to maneuver through the defense. Régis Coelho stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Frank Sena's shot from short distance in the 47th minute. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.
Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Víktor Paraíba to make the kick off. If Váldson Luz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 59th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Régis Coelho was a little too slow when Frank Sena got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 62nd minute. The score was now 0-2. In the 65th minute, Váldson Luz ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Dráuzio Soeiro was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-2. When Luizinho Dante fell near the penalty area in the 72nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Capinal's protests and gave Luizinho Dante a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Guaianeses SS booed when Capinal was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 77 match minutes in a wonderful position. Aírton Peres didn't get a good kick on the ball. Simão Neiva received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 79th minute. Régis Coelho tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. With a little luck, Capinal's Régis Coelho got control of the ball when Claudinho Rosa tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 89thth minute of the game Váldson Luz who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Guaianeses SS's Dráuzio Soeiro was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 90 minutes into the game, Víktor Paraíba cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-3. Dráuzio Soeiro was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 94th minute, Capinal's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Frank Sena fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. If Frank Sena had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 98th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Guaianeses SS had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
