The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. When Donato Pena came up free with the goalie in the 42nd minute, the Sitiozinho AD fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Donato Pena couldn't finish the play. The supporters of Sitiozinho AD booed when Commercinho was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 46 match minutes in a wonderful position. Claudinho Ceresso didn't get a good kick on the ball.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Frank Pena made a kick off. In the 51st minute of the match, Donato Pena tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Antônio Paulista saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Edvaldo das Nevess short, quick shot in the 60thth minute got Antônio Paulista to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Donato Pena in the 66th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Antônio Paulista saved Commercinho from getting behind. Donato Pena fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 79th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Antônio Paulista having to interfere. 88 minutes into the game, Natanael Negri was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Sitiozinho AD's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Commercinho the free kick. After 88 played minutes Sitiozinho AD got a freekick which was hit by Natanael Negri. If Edvaldo das Neves had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 93rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Antônio Paulista showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Donato Pena, who was totally free with the ball in the 95th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Claudinho Ceresso in the 96th minute of play forced Sitiozinho AD's goalkeeper Richard Torres to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.
