After a defensive mix-up in Anibal's zone, Claudinho Pitta stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Gugu Teixeira came out of the goal and Claudinho Pitta tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Fernão Barral sent away a hard shot on goal in the 17th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 20 minutes of play Bacurituba AD's Cristian Hames was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. A collision led to Bacurituba AD getting a freekick after 20 minutes play. Cristian Hames hit a great ball. In the 21st minute of the match Juan Pimenta sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Basílio Paraibano skillfully saved the ball. Juan de Senna scored 1-1 in the 23rd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Basílio Paraibano, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 27th minute, Cristian da Silveira hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 31 played minutes Anibal got a freekick which was hit by Juan Pimenta. In the 36th minute, Claudinho Pitta got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Marquinhos Proença charged in rather forcefully in the 38th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Marquinhos Proença the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Juan de Senna fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 41st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Basílio Paraibano having to interfere. Juan Pimenta made a great header on Anibal's corner, it was just that Bacurituba AD's Basílio Paraibano managed to reach the ball for a save. Anibal's Gugu Teixeira played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Claudinho Pitta in the 59th minute of play. In the 60th minute the ball was on its way in behind Anibal's goalkeeper Gugu Teixeira, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Perivaldo Vieira hit a great freekick 63 minutes into the match. Juan de Senna struck a weak shot in the 64th minute. Basílio Paraibano didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Anibal. Basílio Paraibano showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Pedrão Abreu in the 70th minute of the match. Pedrão Abreu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 74th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Basílio Paraibano having to interfere. If Marquinhos Proença had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 78th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Gugu Teixeira showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Claudinho Pitta in the 87th minute of the match. After some careless play in the Anibal defense, Claudinho Pitta kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Gugu Teixeira. The Anibal fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Gugu Teixeira should have stopped the shot. Juan de Senna sent away a hard shot on goal in the 94th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Bacurituba AD's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
