Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Ramiro do Vale made the kick off which started today's match. In the 3rd match minute, Mangarate was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Chiquinho Perez to maneuver through the defense. When David Amaral came up free with the goalie in the 8th minute, the Mangarate fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that David Amaral couldn't finish the play. When Hamílton Monteiro fell near the penalty area in the 9th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Araripina AD's protests and gave Hamílton Monteiro a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Araripina AD's Hamílton Monteiro got a free kick in the 9th minute. Zé Paulo Fernandes was a little too slow when Eusébio Leal got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 11th minute. The score was now 1-0. Doriva Braga took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 14th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Kiko Aguiar. Mangarate's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Armindo Maciel received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 27th minute. Kiko Aguiar tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The referee gave Araripina AD a penalty, 35 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Luizinho Medeiros, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Mangarate's Kiko Aguiar. 1-1. Zé Paulo Fernandes showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ramiro do Vale, who was totally free with the ball in the 43rd minute. In the 47th minute Reinaldo Quirino shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Kiko Aguiar saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Reinaldo Quirino made a kick off. Eusébio Leal fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 52nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Zé Paulo Fernandes having to interfere. 56 minutes into the game, Durvalino Terra was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Mangarate's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Araripina AD the free kick. After 57 played minutes Mangarate got a freekick which was hit by Durvalino Terra. If Eusébio Leal had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 66th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Zé Paulo Fernandes made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Eusébio Leal in the 69th minute of play. Zé Paulo Fernandes showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ramiro do Vale, who was totally free with the ball in the 71st minute. After having played for 83 minutes, Eusébio Leal managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Mangarate's supporters crossed their fingers, but Eusébio Leal was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Araripina AD's Reinaldo Quirino got a good chance for a goal in the 85th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 94thth minute of the game Ramiro do Vale who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Araripina AD's Zé Paulo Fernandes was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Ramiro do Vale received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 97th minute. Zé Paulo Fernandes tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The teams fought very hard right up to the final whistle. Both sets of players were happy to go away with a draw.
