Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Alfredo Sena got the match started through his kick off. Oscar Viana fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 5th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Kiko Aguiar having to interfere. If Oscar Viana had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 8th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 10 minutes into the game, Oscar Viana was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Capuava SS's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Mangarate the free kick. In the 10th minute, Oscar Viana hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 19th match minute, Mangarate was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jairo Mello to maneuver through the defense. Capuava SS's Luiz Gustavo Rezende got a good chance for a goal in the 20th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. A hard shot 27 in the game by Eusébio Leal from a close distance when the talented Duarte Fontes managed to make a qualified save. Capuava SS's players were relieved. Ramiro do Vale got in the 29th a clear chance and fired away a hard shot against goal, but Duarte Fontes handled the situation perfectly and made a save by the crossbar. If Ramiro do Vale had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 32nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Eusébio Leal's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Duarte Fontes read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 35th minute of play. 36 minutes into the match, Mangarate's goal looked a bit too open when Alfredo Sena came free, but Kiko Aguiar reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Kiko Aguiar made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Oscar Viana in the 39th minute of play. Alfredo Sena sent away a hard shot on goal in the 40th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Kiko Aguiar took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Alfredo Sena, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 48 played minutes Capuava SS got a freekick which was hit by Vivaldo Arantes. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Ramiro do Vale made a kick off. 55 minutes into the match, Mangarate's goalkeeper Kiko Aguiar had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Oscar Viana. Eusébio Leal received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 68th minute. Duarte Fontes tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 70th match minute, Capuava SS was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Luiz Gustavo Rezende to maneuver through the defense. In the 73rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Mangarate's goalkeeper Kiko Aguiar, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After 76 minutes, Claudinei Maia made it 1-0 with a short kick to the right side. Capuava SS's Duarte Fontes tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Duarte Fontes took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Eusébio Leal, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 83rd minute, Vivaldo Arantes hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Vitinho Barral charged in rather forcefully in the 85th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Vitinho Barral the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Vitinho Barral hit a great freekick 85 minutes into the match. In the 86th minute, Raí Moreira sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Capuava SS's Duarte Fontes didn't even have to move. After a rather tough play, Capuava SS's Cristian Soeiro got a free kick in the 92nd minute. 95 minutes into the match, Capuava SS's goal looked a bit too open when Eusébio Leal came free, but Duarte Fontes reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Oscar Viana came up free with the goalie in the 97th minute, the Capuava SS fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Oscar Viana couldn't finish the play. Mangarate's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
