Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Pedro Paulo Couto took the kick off in the first half of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ronaldinho Gaúcho in the 6th minute of play forced Tangente's goalkeeper Dé Lucas to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 10th minute, Romeu Rosa got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After 12 played minutes Tangente got a freekick which was hit by Amílton Vale. Dé Lucas stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Pedro Paulo Couto's shot from short distance in the 16th minute. After having played for 19 minutes, Pedro Paulo Couto managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Torrinha's supporters crossed their fingers, but Pedro Paulo Couto was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Alfredo de Amorim showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Paulo José da Fonseca in the 21st minute of the match. Samuca Freitas kicked well hit freekick during the 22nd minute of the match. Alfredo de Amorim showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Paulo José da Fonseca, who was totally free with the ball in the 25th minute. After 27 played minutes Torrinha got a freekick which was hit by Isaltino Moraes. In the 30th minute Ronaldinho Gaúcho shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dé Lucas saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Pedro Paulo Couto came up free with the goalie in the 32nd minute, the Torrinha fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Pedro Paulo Couto couldn't finish the play. Dé Lucas made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Isaltino Moraes in the 35th minute of play. Dé Lucas took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ronaldinho Gaúcho, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 41 minutes into the game, Amílton Vale was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Tangente's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Torrinha the free kick. After 41 played minutes Tangente got a freekick which was hit by Amílton Vale. In the 44th minute, Amílton Vale hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Isaltino Moraes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 48th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.
Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Paulo José da Fonseca to make the kick off. The supporters of Torrinha booed when Tangente was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 68 match minutes in a wonderful position. Amílton Vale didn't get a good kick on the ball. Torrinha's Alfredo de Amorim played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Romeu Rosa in the 74th minute of play. Pedro Paulo Couto fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 79th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dé Lucas having to interfere. Dé Lucas made an important save on a dangerous shot by Ronaldinho Gaúcho in the 84th minute. With his leg Dé Lucas managed to avoid a goal in the 86thth minute, when Torrinha's Pedro Paulo Couto fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Paulo José da Fonseca during the 86th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card.
