Matheus Tavares received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 6th minute. Marcinho Neto tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Matheus Tavares in the 9th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Marcinho Neto saved Manino from getting behind. 14 minutes into the game, Olívio da Rocha was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Manino's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Guajarraa the free kick. Armandinho Vander fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 17th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Charles Romero having to interfere. Charles Romero didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Adalmo de Souza went, in the 19th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. Charles Romero made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Armandinho Vander in the 23rd minute of play. After a rather tough play, Guajarraa's Renatinho Mineiro got a free kick in the 24th minute. If Armandinho Vander had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 25th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 31 played minutes Guajarraa got a freekick which was hit by Renatinho Mineiro. Manino's Duda Diniz couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 31st minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Guajarraa. Eliézer Loureiro hit a great freekick 32 minutes into the match. Armandinho Vander received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 34th minute. In the 38th minute the ball was on its way in behind Guajarraa's goalkeeper Charles Romero, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Nilmar Linares fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 41st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Marcinho Neto having to interfere. Guajarraa's Charles Romero played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Adalmo de Souza in the 44th minute of play. In the 45th minute Adalmo de Souza shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Charles Romero saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.
Nilmar Linares's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Marcinho Neto read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 51st minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 56th minute, Jânio Proença managed to get in a good position for a shot. Manino's supporters rose to their feet, but Jânio Proença was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Charles Romero breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After 66 minutes, Eliézer Loureiro mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Guajarraa and the Manino players grew even worse after the yellow card. Eliézer Loureiro kicked well hit freekick during the 66th minute of the match. Armandinho Vander fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 69th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Charles Romero having to interfere. A wasted opportunity for Manino. 91 minutes into the game, Víktor Moraes was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Guajarraa's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Manino the free kick. The supporters of Manino booed when Guajarraa was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 91 match minutes in a wonderful position. Víktor Moraes didn't get a good kick on the ball. Manino played a much better game than Guajarraa and deserved their victory. The Guajarraa players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
