Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Giovanni Gaúcho made the kick off which started today's match. When Jânio Proença fell near the penalty area in the 2nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Manino's protests and gave Jânio Proença a yellow card for diving instead. Jânio Proença hit a great freekick 2 minutes into the match. Marcinho Neto showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dino Xavier in the 4th minute of the match. If Dino Xavier had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 10th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Marcinho Neto came out of the goal in the 11th minute to try and stop a shot by Petropolis's Giovanni Gaúcho. But to his dismay, Giovanni Gaúcho quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Adalmo de Souza in the 21st minute of play forced Petropolis's goalkeeper Rafinha Oliveira to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Lino Veiga charged in rather forcefully in the 30th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Lino Veiga the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Manino getting a freekick after 30 minutes play. Lino Veiga hit a great ball. Marcinho Neto showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Giovanni Gaúcho, who was totally free with the ball in the 35th minute. When Adalmo de Souza came up free with the goalie in the 37th minute, the Manino fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Adalmo de Souza couldn't finish the play. If Adalmo de Souza had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 39th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Petropolis's Dino Xavier got a good chance for a goal in the 43rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Adalmo de Souza blasted a shot towards the goal in the 46th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Rafinha Oliveira having to make a save. Marcinho Neto showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dino Xavier in the 48th minute of the match. After the first half Petropolis were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Rafinha Oliveira stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Adalmo de Souza's shot from short distance in the 52nd minute. In the 56th minute of the match Manino got a corner. Petropolis's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Duda Diniz ran over to the corner to take the kick. Duda Diniz made a great header on Manino's corner, it was just that Petropolis's Rafinha Oliveira managed to reach the ball for a save. After a defensive mix-up in Petropolis's zone, Armandinho Vander stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Rafinha Oliveira came out of the goal and Armandinho Vander tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 0-2 became the score in the 62nd minute when Giovanni Gaúcho elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. 66 minutes into the match, Dino Xavier notched a goal, 0-3, to the right of Manino's Marcinho Neto. Marcinho Neto was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Armandinho Vander received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 71st minute. Rafinha Oliveira tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Petropolis's Gilvan Mesquita got a free kick in the 72nd minute. Dino Xavier received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 79th minute. Marcinho Neto tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 83rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Manino's goalkeeper Marcinho Neto, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 93rd minute Armandinho Vander shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rafinha Oliveira saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.
