In the 4th minute the ball was on its way in behind Salsas SS's goalkeeper Tony Guimarães, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After some careless play in the Guajarraa defense, Vítor de Barros kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Charles Romero. The Guajarraa fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Charles Romero should have stopped the shot. Charles Romero made a fantastic save in the 10th minute, when Vítor de Barros sent off a good shot on target. Vítor de Barros recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 11th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. With his leg Charles Romero managed to avoid a goal in the 14thth minute, when Salsas SS's Vítor de Barros fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Vítor de Barros sent away a hard shot on goal in the 32nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 33 minutes into the match, Guajarraa's goal looked a bit too open when Perivaldo Novaes came free, but Charles Romero reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Tony Guimarães took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Nilmar Linares, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Vítor de Barros had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 43rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After having played for 44 minutes, Perivaldo Novaes managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Salsas SS's supporters crossed their fingers, but Perivaldo Novaes was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 46 minutes into the match, Perivaldo Novaes dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Charles Romero, 2-0. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-0.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Matheus Tavares to strike the kick off in the second half. Tony Guimarães made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Matheus Tavares in the 53rd minute of play. After a rather tough play, Guajarraa's Renatinho Mineiro got a free kick in the 83rd minute. 84 minutes into the match, Perivaldo Novaes had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Charles Romero. Guajarraa's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Perivaldo Novaes was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 4-1. Salsas SS's Tony Guimarães played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Matheus Tavares in the 89th minute of play. Perivaldo Novaes received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 91st minute. Charles Romero tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Vítor de Barros had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 93rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Perivaldo Novaes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 96th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Salsas SS's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
