Yan Cearense showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Haroldo de Amaral, who was totally free with the ball in the 11th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rui Machado in the 15th minute of play forced Buracica FC's goalkeeper Luís Fábio Botelho to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Edgar Soeiro's late challenge caught a Itauninha FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Edgar Soeiro helped the player get up and apologised. Edgar Soeiro kicked well hit freekick during the 24th minute of the match. Itauninha FC's Adelino Pitta couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 25th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Buracica FC. After a defensive mix-up in Itauninha FC's zone, Haroldo de Amaral stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Yan Cearense came out of the goal and Haroldo de Amaral tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 33 minutes into the game, Buracica FC's Víktor Medeiros nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Yan Cearense made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. During the 39th minute of the match Edgar Soeiro completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Edgar Soeiro a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. 41 minutes into the match, Buracica FC's goal looked a bit too open when Celso Coelho came free, but Luís Fábio Botelho reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Celso Coelho had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 47th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

In the 51st minute Celso Coelho shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Luís Fábio Botelho saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Víktor Medeiros hit a great freekick 52 minutes into the match. Luís Fábio Botelho took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Dorian Borges, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 60 minutes into the match, Itauninha FC's goalkeeper Yan Cearense had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Haroldo de Amaral. In the 62nd minute Celso Coelho shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Luís Fábio Botelho saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Víktor Medeiros fell near the penalty area in the 63rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Buracica FC's protests and gave Víktor Medeiros a yellow card for diving instead. After 69 minutes of play, Itauninha FC's Celso Coelho made it 2-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Luís Fábio Botelho was left in no man's land by his defense there! Magno Leal kicked well hit freekick during the 73rd minute of the match. After having played for 79 minutes, Haroldo de Amaral managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Buracica FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Haroldo de Amaral was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. A collision led to Buracica FC getting a freekick after 87 minutes play. Jânio Prata hit a great ball. Luís Fábio Botelho didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Dorian Borges went, in the 91st minute, to the upper right corner, 3-1 was the resulting score.
