Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Franklin Veloso started the match with the kick off. In the 4th minute Egídio Machado shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Baltazar Fernandez saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 7 minutes, Agnaldo Prata mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Bocaina EC and the Cantarem FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Cantarem FC booed when Bocaina EC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 7 match minutes in a wonderful position. Agnaldo Prata didn't get a good kick on the ball. Ivo Braga made an important save on a dangerous shot by Ricardinho de Godoy in the 8th minute. When Natã Lopes fell near the penalty area in the 9th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Bocaina EC's protests and gave Natã Lopes a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Bocaina EC getting a freekick after 9 minutes play. Natã Lopes hit a great ball. Bocaina EC's Ivo Braga proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 10th minute of the match, managed to save Bocaina EC from getting a goal against them. In the 11th minute Ezequiel Simões shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ivo Braga saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Egídio Machado came up free with the goalie in the 12th minute, the Bocaina EC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Egídio Machado couldn't finish the play. Ricardinho de Godoy sent away a hard shot on goal in the 19th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 25thth minute of the game Franklin Veloso who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Cantarem FC's Baltazar Fernandez was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After having played for 27 minutes, Ezequiel Simões managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Cantarem FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ezequiel Simões was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The supporters of Cantarem FC booed when Bocaina EC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 28 match minutes in a wonderful position. Claudinho Negri didn't get a good kick on the ball. Ricardinho de Godoy did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 1-0 to the left of a surprised Ivo Braga 32 minutes into the match. With an all-out effort, Cantarem FC's Ivo Braga threw himself towards the right post 35 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Ezequiel Simões, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Jeremias Mangueira hit a great freekick 36 minutes into the match. In the 39th minute, Ezequiel Simões got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 44th minute, Cantarem FC's Ezequiel Simões dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 2-0. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.
The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Ezequiel Simões stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 54th minute of the match David Massa shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Ivo Braga showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. After a rather tough play, Bocaina EC's Jeremias Mangueira got a free kick in the 56th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 57th minute, Ricardinho de Godoy managed to get in a good position for a shot. Cantarem FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Ricardinho de Godoy was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ivo Braga breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After 59 played minutes Cantarem FC got a freekick which was hit by Laerte Faustino. Ezequiel Simões received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 62nd minute. Ivo Braga tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Bocaina EC's Adriano Batista got a free kick in the 63rd minute. After a defensive mix-up in Bocaina EC's zone, Ricardinho de Godoy stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ivo Braga came out of the goal and Ricardinho de Godoy tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Ricardinho de Godoy sent away a hard shot on goal in the 71st minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 75th match minute, Bocaina EC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Agnaldo Prata to maneuver through the defense. In the 76th minute, David Massa got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Bocaina EC's Ivo Braga played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ricardinho de Godoy in the 88th minute of play. Ezequiel Simões received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 91st minute. Ivo Braga tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Cantarem FC fully deserved thier win.
