He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. 13 minutes into the game, Nilmar de Sena was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Brasopolis's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave America the free kick. After a rather tough play, Brasopolis's Nilmar de Sena got a free kick in the 13th minute. Digo Paraibano showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Pedro Luís Arósio in the 30th minute of the match. The referee ignored America's protests and gave Flavinho Galvão a yellow card for diving instead. After 37 played minutes America got a freekick which was hit by Flavinho Galvão. Digo Paraibano showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Valdemar da Mata in the 54th minute of the match. If Nilmar de Sena had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 88th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Douglas Marquez's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Edmundo Saldanha read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 90th minute of play.
