The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Régis Seco stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Régis Seco who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 54thth minute tested the skills of Jonathan Pires when he managed to save the team from getting behind. After 56 played minutes Itapirapua got a freekick which was hit by Luizinho Diniz. Luizinho Diniz might have been able to make a better finish in the 93rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Marcelinho Reis. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Luizinho Diniz ran back to his position shaking his head. Jeers came from both ends of the stadium when the final whistle went. Neither team had looked impressive and the draw seeemd a fair result.
