Wilian Madureira charged in rather forcefully in the 9th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Wilian Madureira the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 9th match minute, Sacambu was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Wilian Madureira to maneuver through the defense. Luís Botelho received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 15th minute. Francisco Félix tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. A collision led to Pombo EC getting a freekick after 23 minutes play. Wilton de Godoy hit a great ball. Tiaguinho Corrêa in the 27thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Valério Breckenfeld, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. In the 28th minute the ball was on its way in behind Sacambu's goalkeeper Valério Breckenfeld, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 31st minute Luís Botelho shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Francisco Félix saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Gualter Alcântara recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 38th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. A collision led to Pombo EC getting a freekick after 40 minutes play. Dida Aguiar hit a great ball. In the 41st minute, Wilian Madureira sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Pombo EC's Francisco Félix didn't even have to move. If Gerson Loyola had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 44th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Valério Breckenfeld showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gerson Loyola in the 48th minute of the match. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

Luís Botelho fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 54th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Francisco Félix having to interfere. Tiaguinho Corrêa received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 57th minute. Valério Breckenfeld tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 65 minutes of play, Pombo EC's Gerson Loyola made it 1-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Valério Breckenfeld was left in no man's land by his defense there! An unexpectedly hard shot by Tiaguinho Corrêa in the 69th minute of play forced Sacambu's goalkeeper Valério Breckenfeld to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Luís Botelho received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 73rd minute. Francisco Félix tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Francisco Félix took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Rubens Guimarães, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 79th minute of the game. One of Pombo EC:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Sacambu:s goal. In the 81st minute there was a penalty for Sacambu. Wilian Madureira stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Francisco Félix. 1-1. 85 minutes into the game, Pombo EC's Gerson Loyola nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Valério Breckenfeld made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-1.
