Ernesto Castro showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Guga Lira in the 3rd minute of the match. The referee gave Paco SS a penalty, 9 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Marcus Marinho, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Carrasquinho's Dadá Vidal. 1-0. The supporters of Carrasquinho booed when Paco SS was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 12 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gabriel Abreu didn't get a good kick on the ball. 14 minutes into the game, Geraldo Mello cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-1. Ernesto Castro was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. If Guga Lira had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 21st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After taking down the ball on Carrasquinho's corner Gilberto de Toledo fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Ernesto Castro quite easily take care of the ball. 29 minutes into the match, Carrasquinho's goalkeeper Dadá Vidal had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Chiquinho Oliveira. Carrasquinho's Dadá Vidal proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 30th minute of the match, managed to save Carrasquinho from getting a goal against them. Carrasquinho's Geraldo Mello got a good chance for a goal in the 33rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 35th minute Guga Lira shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ernesto Castro saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ernesto Castro showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Guga Lira in the 40th minute of the match. Guga Lira fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 42nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ernesto Castro having to interfere. Ernesto Castro made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Guga Lira in the 44th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Carrasquinho's Gilberto de Toledo got a free kick in the 46th minute. Paco SS's Marcus Marinho couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 47th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Carrasquinho.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Régis Torres stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Geraldo Mello received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 52nd minute. Ernesto Castro tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Geraldo Mello had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 54th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Geraldo Mello fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 57th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ernesto Castro having to interfere. 64 minutes into the match, Carrasquinho's goal looked a bit too open when Régis Torres came free, but Dadá Vidal reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 67 minutes into the game, Geraldo Mello cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-2. Ernesto Castro was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Dadá Vidal stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Chiquinho Oliveira's shot from short distance in the 81st minute. Dadá Vidal showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Chiquinho Oliveira in the 89th minute of the match. Dadá Vidal took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Chiquinho Oliveira, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Carrasquinho had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
