The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Adalberto Vianna stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. The supporters of Caricaca FC booed when Carrasquinho was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 52 match minutes in a wonderful position. Olavo Breckenfeld didn't get a good kick on the ball. After having played for 73 minutes, Geraldo Mello managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Carrasquinho's supporters crossed their fingers, but Geraldo Mello was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Elivélton do Nascimento showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Guga Lira, who was totally free with the ball in the 77th minute. After having played for 85 minutes, Geraldo Mello managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Carrasquinho's Pedro Luís Machado suffered a sore thigh after 92 minutes and couldn't finish the game. 92 minutes into the game, Kiko Alcântara was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Caricaca FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Carrasquinho the free kick. A collision led to Caricaca FC getting a freekick after 93 minutes play. Kiko Alcântara hit a great ball. If Andrézinho do Vale had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 96th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When the referee blew the final whistle jeers and boos were heard from the home team's supporters. They were angered to see Carrasquinho lose a match they had controlled from the kick-off.
