With his leg Jorginho Bezerra managed to avoid a goal in the 3rdth minute, when Oticica's Rui Zilles fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Oscar Urbano received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 5th minute. Virgílio Almeida tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Lamberio FC's zone, Eduardo Breckenfeld stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jorginho Bezerra came out of the goal and Eduardo Breckenfeld tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 10th minute, Eduardo Breckenfeld managed to get in a good position for a shot. Oticica's supporters rose to their feet, but Eduardo Breckenfeld was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Jorginho Bezerra breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. If Rui Zilles had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 14th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 19th minute, Claudinho Queirós hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After having played for 37 minutes, Rodriguinho Peixoto managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Lamberio FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Rodriguinho Peixoto was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 39th minute, Franklin Paiva left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Lamberio FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. The Oticica players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Lamberio FC were winning 0-1.

The wind increased when Rodriguinho Peixoto made the kick off in the second half. Virgílio Almeida made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rodriguinho Peixoto in the 54th minute of play. Oticica's Virgílio Almeida played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rodriguinho Peixoto in the 61st minute of play. Virgílio Almeida had great luck who in the 62ndth minute grab hold of the ball when Rodriguinho Peixoto from a short distance tried to put the ball inside the right post. Claudinho Queirós hit a great freekick 64 minutes into the match. After a rather tough play, Oticica's Vânderson Esteves got a free kick in the 76th minute. When Oscar Urbano came up free with the goalie in the 77th minute, the Lamberio FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Oscar Urbano couldn't finish the play. Oticica's Virgílio Almeida played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rodriguinho Peixoto in the 78th minute of play. With a little luck, Oticica's Virgílio Almeida got control of the ball when Oscar Urbano tried to sneak it across the goal line. If Rodriguinho Peixoto had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 82nd minute.
