Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Andrézinho Albuquerque started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. Claudinei Paraíba hit a great freekick 2 minutes into the match. The crowd rose to their feet as Andrézinho Albuquerque kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Rubinho Motta. That made the score 1-0 in the 7 minute of play. Wanderson Machado fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 10th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rubinho Motta having to interfere. The supporters of Gargorra FC booed when Nuputira was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 16 match minutes in a wonderful position. Claudinei Paraíba didn't get a good kick on the ball. Bruno Novaes, 16 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. Andrézinho Albuquerque recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 33rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When Wanderson Machado came up free with the goalie in the 34th minute, the Gargorra FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Wanderson Machado couldn't finish the play. In the 36th minute, Edmundo Vasconcelos fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. Andrézinho Albuquerque blasted a shot towards the goal in the 40th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Rubinho Motta having to make a save. In the 44th minute the ball was on its way in behind Gargorra FC's goalkeeper Caco Arantes, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Caco Arantes made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Benjamin Leal in the 45th minute of play. Gargorra FC's Caco Arantes played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Benjamin Leal in the 47th minute of play. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Benjamin Leal to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 52nd match minute, Nuputira was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Giuseppe Nogueira to maneuver through the defense. In the 55th minute Benjamin Leal shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Caco Arantes saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 55 minutes into the game, Joel Lira was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Gargorra FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Nuputira the free kick. The supporters of Nuputira booed when Gargorra FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 56 match minutes in a wonderful position. Joel Lira didn't get a good kick on the ball. Vágner Trigo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 57th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a defensive mix-up in Nuputira's zone, Andrézinho Albuquerque stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Rubinho Motta came out of the goal and Andrézinho Albuquerque tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Gargorra FC's Caco Arantes played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Benjamin Leal in the 64th minute of play. Luizão Pombal hit a great freekick 66 minutes into the match. In the 77th minute, Benjamin Leal left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Nuputira fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. When Adriano Sabóia fell near the penalty area in the 90th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Gargorra FC's protests and gave Adriano Sabóia a yellow card for diving instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Wanderson Machado in the 92nd minute of play forced Nuputira's goalkeeper Rubinho Motta to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Rubinho Motta made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Wanderson Machado in the 94th minute of play. Wanderson Machado struck a weak shot in the 99th minute. Rubinho Motta didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Gargorra FC. Both teams had looked equal from kick-off, and no-one was surprised when the match finally ended in a draw.
