Yan Santana helped the player get up and apologised. The audience was convinced that Wanderson Machado's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Marcinho Carioca was relentless in the 11th minute of the game. In the 16th minute, Edmundo Vidal ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Caco Arantes was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-0. Andrézinho Paiva kicked well hit freekick during the 20th minute of the match. Wanderson Machado received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 23rd minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Adriano Moreira in the 28th minute of play forced Gargorra FC's goalkeeper Caco Arantes to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 31st minute, Gargorra FC's Claudinho Pirani seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Claudinho Pirani the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Gargorra FC protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Claudinho Pirani had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. When the match had gone on for 38 minutes, Adriano Moreira took a quick shot and it went in 3-0 without a chance for Caco Arantes to make any attempt to save it. Edmundo Vidal received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 42nd minute. Caco Arantes tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 3-0 at half-time.

Adriano Moreira's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Caco Arantes read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 51st minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Adriano Moreira in the 55th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Caco Arantes saved Gargorra FC from getting behind. Caco Arantes made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Adriano Moreira in the 57th minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 59th minute, Edmundo Vidal managed to get in a good position for a shot. Ipero's supporters rose to their feet, but Edmundo Vidal was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Caco Arantes breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Caco Arantes took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Adriano Moreira, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Caco Arantes stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Adriano Moreira's shot from short distance in the 62nd minute. In the 65th minute the ball was on its way in behind Gargorra FC's goalkeeper Caco Arantes, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. If Adriano Moreira had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 66th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The audience was convinced that Edmundo Vidal's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Caco Arantes was relentless in the 69th minute of the game. Caco Arantes showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Edmundo Vidal, who was totally free with the ball in the 70th minute. Ipero's Edmundo Vidal got a good chance for a goal in the 72nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Edmundo Vidal sent away a hard shot on goal in the 77th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Caco Arantes took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Yan Santana, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Edmundo Vidal struck a weak shot in the 80th minute. Caco Arantes didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Ipero. Caco Arantes made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Edmundo Vidal in the 83rd minute of play. The supporters of Ipero booed when Gargorra FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 83 match minutes in a wonderful position. Edmundo Vasconcelos didn't get a good kick on the ball. Caco Arantes showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Adriano Moreira in the 86th minute of the match. Gargorra FC's Caco Arantes played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Adriano Moreira in the 93rd minute of play. Edmundo Vidal sent away a hard shot on goal in the 95th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Ipero's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
