An unexpectedly hard shot by Gualter Couto in the 16th minute of play forced Marrocos's goalkeeper Fábio de Souza to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Through an outstanding action, after 18 minutes, Dalmo Arce successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. In the 19th match minute, Jacuquara SS was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Angelo Alvarenga to maneuver through the defense. When Marrocos's Eurico Araújo in the 20th minute got a chance for a shot 20th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Eurico Araújo got in the 28th a clear chance and fired away a hard shot against goal, but Dalmo Arce handled the situation perfectly and made a save by the crossbar. Angelo Alvarenga charged in rather forcefully in the 29th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Angelo Alvarenga the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 29 played minutes Jacuquara SS got a freekick which was hit by Angelo Alvarenga. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Eurico Araújo in the 33rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Dalmo Arce prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Dalmo Arce made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Eurico Araújo in the 35th minute of play. Gualter Couto received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 38th minute. Fábio de Souza tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 42 played minutes Jacuquara SS got a freekick which was hit by Gualter Couto. Eurico Araújo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 44th minute. The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Eurico Araújo to strike the kick off in the second half. Dalmo Arce made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Fred Fonseca in the 54th minute of play. Eurico Araújo might have been able to make a better finish in the 55th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Dalmo Arce. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Eurico Araújo ran back to his position shaking his head. If Sandro Breckenfeld had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 62nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Gualter Couto who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 67thth minute tested the skills of Fábio de Souza when he managed to save the team from getting behind. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Dedê Breckenfeld during the 70th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 78th minute, Gualter Couto fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Fábio de Souza, passed just outside the right post. A collision led to Marrocos getting a freekick after 80 minutes play. Pedro Batista hit a great ball. Gualter Couto scored 0-3 in the 84th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Fábio de Souza, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 94th minute the ball was on its way in behind Jacuquara SS's goalkeeper Dalmo Arce, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Gualter Couto recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 96th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The Jacuquara SS supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Jacuquara SS would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
