The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Lucas Lopez kicked well hit freekick during the 5th minute of the match. Carlos Fernando Damião tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Jacuquara SS's zone, Lucas Lopez stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Dalmo Arce came out of the goal and Lucas Lopez tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Válter Dante kicked well hit freekick during the 15th minute of the match. Franklin Mumbach took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 15th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Carlos Fernando Damião. Motuca SC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. In the 16th match minute, Motuca SC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Lucas Lopez to maneuver through the defense. When Gualter Couto fell near the penalty area in the 18th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Jacuquara SS's protests and gave Gualter Couto a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Motuca SC booed when Jacuquara SS was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 18 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gualter Couto didn't get a good kick on the ball. 22 minutes into the match, Motuca SC's goal looked a bit too open when Gualter Couto came free, but Carlos Fernando Damião reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 24th minute, Cesinha dos Santos hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 30th minute, Gualter Couto made a precise shot to the right of Carlos Fernando Damião. Motuca SC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. The audience thought a goal was coming when Genílson Arce got free with Dalmo Arce in the 35th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Disappointed in the 0-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Gualter Couto was the one to do the kick off. Ismael Bertassi could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 53rd minute of the match, but Carlos Fernando Damião made a huge save. In the 56th minute, Ismael Bertassi left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Jacuquara SS fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-3. In the 60th minute, Genílson Arce got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Pedrinho Gerber fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 62nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dalmo Arce having to interfere. Dalmo Arce showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Pedrinho Gerber, who was totally free with the ball in the 69th minute. Motuca SC's Carlos Fernando Damião played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gualter Couto in the 72nd minute of play. If Genílson Arce had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 80th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Dalmo Arce showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Genílson Arce in the 82nd minute of the match. Lucas Lopez kicked well hit freekick during the 84th minute of the match. After having played for 86 minutes, Pedrinho Gerber managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Motuca SC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Pedrinho Gerber was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Pedrinho Gerber scored 2-3 in the 91st match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Dalmo Arce, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Dalmo Arce made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Pedrinho Gerber in the 95th minute of play. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Jacuquara SS had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
