After a defensive mix-up in Rozal SC's zone, Donatello Branco stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Valdo França came out of the goal and Donatello Branco tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 4 played minutes Rozal SC got a freekick which was hit by Juan Reis. Donatello Branco received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 6th minute. Valdo França tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Donatello Branco fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 8th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Valdo França having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Bebeto de Medeiros in the 12th minute of play forced Botumirim's goalkeeper Arthur Tróia to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Botumirim's Arthur Tróia played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bebeto de Medeiros in the 14th minute of play. When Rozal SC's Erasmo Trancoso in the 16th minute got a chance for a shot 16th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. If Wilian Corrêa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 26th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Arthur Tróia showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Bebeto de Medeiros in the 28th minute of the match. Wilian Corrêa hit a great freekick 30 minutes into the match. Valdo França showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Juninho Souto, who was totally free with the ball in the 32nd minute. Valdo França was out of position in the 34 minute of play, and Donatello Branco capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Donatello Branco really showed his touch with that goal: 1-0. Botumirim's Arthur Tróia played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Erasmo Trancoso in the 40th minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 45th minute, Juninho Souto managed to get in a good position for a shot. Botumirim's supporters rose to their feet, but Juninho Souto was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Valdo França breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Erasmo Trancoso stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. 57 minutes into the match, Rozal SC's Wilian Corrêa sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Arthur Tróia narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Erasmo Trancoso sent away a hard shot on goal in the 58th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 59th minute, Simão Aguiar hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 64th minute, Botumirim's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Bebeto de Medeiros fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Botumirim's Arthur Tróia proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 66th minute of the match, managed to save Botumirim from getting a goal against them. After having played for 69 minutes, Erasmo Trancoso managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Rozal SC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Erasmo Trancoso was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Rozal SC's Erasmo Trancoso got a good chance for a goal in the 73rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Arthur Tróia made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Erasmo Trancoso in the 75th minute of play. Rozal SC's Valdo França played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Juninho Souto in the 78th minute of play. If Bebeto de Medeiros had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 80th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 91 minutes into the match, Botumirim's goal looked a bit too open when Erasmo Trancoso came free, but Arthur Tróia reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Erasmo Trancoso struck a weak shot in the 92nd minute. Arthur Tróia didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Rozal SC. Rozal SC's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
