Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Frank Mumbach made the kick off which started today's match. Frank Mumbach recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 7th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Jeromenha's Sérgio Lago got a good chance for a goal in the 14th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Samuca Leite showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Frank Mumbach in the 16th minute of the match. Frank Mumbach received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 18th minute. Samuca Leite tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 27 minutes into the match, Xarqueada's goal looked a bit too open when Frank Mumbach came free, but Samuca Leite reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Jeromenha's zone, José Pedro Barbosa stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Marcus Simão came out of the goal and José Pedro Barbosa tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Luiz Fábio Tasso had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 40th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some fancy dribbling in the 43rd minute, José Pedro Barbosa managed to get in a good position for a shot. Xarqueada's supporters rose to their feet, but José Pedro Barbosa was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Marcus Simão breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Breno Penha hit a great freekick 44 minutes into the match. Luiz Fábio Tasso recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 45th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Xarqueada's Pedro Paulo Zonta pulled a muscle in his leg after 46 minutes and couldn't finish the game. Eliézer de Queiroz charged in rather forcefully in the 46th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Eliézer de Queiroz the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Xarqueada booed when Jeromenha was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 47 match minutes in a wonderful position. Eliézer de Queiroz didn't get a good kick on the ball. Gino Ortiz fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 49th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Marcus Simão having to interfere.
After 54 minutes of play Jeromenha's Breno Penha was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. Luiz Fábio Tasso fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 56th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Marcus Simão having to interfere. Samuca Leite didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Sérgio Lago went, in the 60th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-0 was the resulting score. After 63 played minutes Jeromenha got a freekick which was hit by Eliézer de Queiroz. If Sérgio Lago had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 72nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Luiz Fábio Tasso blasted a shot towards the goal in the 74th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Marcus Simão having to make a save. Luiz Fábio Tasso fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 76th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Marcus Simão having to interfere. 79 minutes into the match, Xarqueada's goal looked a bit too open when Sérgio Lago came free, but Samuca Leite reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Luiz Fábio Tasso blasted a shot towards the goal in the 84th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Marcus Simão having to make a save. Samuca Leite showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Sérgio Lago in the 90th minute of the match. Sérgio Lago might have been able to make a better finish in the 97th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Samuca Leite. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Sérgio Lago ran back to his position shaking his head. After 98 played minutes Jeromenha got a freekick which was hit by Zézinho Maia. Xarqueada's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
