When the match had gone on for 7 minutes, Alex Ortiz put it in 0-1 from a short distance just to the right of Ernani Nascimento. If Elano Furtado had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 11th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Isaltino Netto charged in rather forcefully in the 12th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Isaltino Netto the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Isaltino Netto kicked well hit freekick during the 12th minute of the match. Alex Ortiz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 17th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 24 played minutes Itaquira got a freekick which was hit by Júnior França. Franklin Tepedino received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 27th minute. Mateus Catarinense tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Enéas Hermes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 29th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ernani Nascimento having to interfere. In the 31stth minute of the game Alex Ortiz who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Itaquira's Ernani Nascimento was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Ernani Nascimento made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Enéas Hermes in the 36th minute of play. After 46 played minutes Itaquira got a freekick which was hit by Júnior França. After a defensive mix-up in Itaquira's zone, Alex Ortiz stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ernani Nascimento came out of the goal and Alex Ortiz tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Alex Ortiz to make the kick off. After some fancy dribbling in the 52nd minute, Alex Ortiz managed to get in a good position for a shot. Peiroval SC's supporters rose to their feet, but Alex Ortiz was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ernani Nascimento breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 56 minutes into the match, Franklin Tepedino had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Mateus Catarinense. Peiroval SC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Franklin Tepedino was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. Ernani Nascimento made a fantastic save in the 64th minute, when Frederico Santos sent off a good shot on target. Alex Ortiz fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 67th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ernani Nascimento having to interfere. Alex Ortiz received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 69th minute. Ernani Nascimento tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Franklin Tepedino's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Mateus Catarinense read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 71st minute of play. During the 73rd minute of the match Júnior França completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Júnior França a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. After a rather tough play, Itaquira's Júnior França got a free kick in the 74th minute. In the 75th minute, Alex Ortiz left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Peiroval SC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-2. Enéas Hermes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 80th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ernani Nascimento having to interfere. A collision led to Itaquira getting a freekick after 82 minutes play. Guto Pimenta hit a great ball. In the 84th minute, Franklin Tepedino ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Mateus Catarinense was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-2. Enéas Hermes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 94th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ernani Nascimento having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Itaquira's Elano Furtado got a free kick in the 95th minute. The crowd rose to their feet as Peiroval SC's Alex Ortiz slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Ernani Nascimento. That made the score 2-3 after 97 minutes of play. When the match was over Peiroval SC could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Itaquira throughout the match.
