Mateus Catarinense tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. A collision led to Peiroval SC getting a freekick after 15 minutes play. Isaltino Netto hit a great ball. Enéas Hermes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 21st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 23rd minute, Alex Ortiz ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Walmyr Proença was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. In the 25th minute, Claudinei Arruda got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 29th match minute, Peiroval SC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by César Rosa to maneuver through the defense. After recieving a nice pass, Esmeril's Enrique Loureiro tried to score from far away in the 30th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. Frederico Santos kicked well hit freekick during the 31st minute of the match. Vânderson Albuquerque did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 1-1 to the left of a surprised Mateus Catarinense 33 minutes into the match. Vânderson Albuquerque took the ball and in the 36 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Mateus Catarinense. Mateus Catarinense dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-1. Alex Ortiz received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 45th minute. Walmyr Proença tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Alex Ortiz made a kick off. Claudinei Arruda fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 54th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mateus Catarinense having to interfere. Isaltino Netto hit a great freekick 55 minutes into the match. If Claudinei Arruda had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 57th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Enéas Hermes in the 60thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Walmyr Proença, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. João Vides took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 63rd minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Walmyr Proença. Esmeril's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. After having played for 64 minutes, Vânderson Albuquerque managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Esmeril's supporters crossed their fingers, but Vânderson Albuquerque was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alex Ortiz in the 68th minute of play forced Esmeril's goalkeeper Walmyr Proença to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 72 played minutes Esmeril got a freekick which was hit by Frédson Prado. In the 73rd minute of the match João Vides sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Walmyr Proença skillfully saved the ball. Alex Ortiz fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 78th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Walmyr Proença having to interfere. The final whistle blew with the score still tied, and both teams left the pitch thinking about the missed chances that could have given their team the win.
