After 8 played minutes, Pinare FC's Dorival Mazza shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Cafu Sá came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Pinare FC reached it. Cafu Sá showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from José Vítor Mumbach in the 10th minute of the match. After 10 minutes of play, Pinare FC's José Vítor Mumbach made it 1-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Cafu Sá was left in no man's land by his defense there! Through an outstanding action, after 15 minutes, Cafu Sá successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. 19 minutes into the game, Henrique Terra was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Pinare FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Arapiranga SC the free kick. After a rather tough play, Pinare FC's Henrique Terra got a free kick in the 19th minute. Arapiranga SC's Fausto Nunes got a good chance for a goal in the 22nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After 24 played minutes Pinare FC got a freekick which was hit by Henrique Terra. In the 27th match minute, Pinare FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Henrique Terra to maneuver through the defense. In the 29th minute, Charles Baptista hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When Arapiranga SC's Haroldo Linhares in the 30th minute got a chance for a shot 30th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Haroldo Linhares ran back to his position shaking his head. Arapiranga SC's Fausto Nunes got a good chance for a goal in the 44th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Duda Corrêa was the one to do the kick off. After some fancy dribbling in the 58th minute, Fausto Nunes managed to get in a good position for a shot. Arapiranga SC's supporters rose to their feet, but Fausto Nunes was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Nelsinho Pimenta breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Nelsinho Pimenta showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Haroldo Linhares, who was totally free with the ball in the 59th minute. When José Vítor Mumbach came up free with the goalie in the 61st minute, the Pinare FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that José Vítor Mumbach couldn't finish the play. José Vítor Mumbach fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 64th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cafu Sá having to interfere. Arapiranga SC's Cafu Sá played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by José Vítor Mumbach in the 65th minute of play. If Haroldo Linhares had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 71st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. If Duda Corrêa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 74th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of Arapiranga SC booed when Pinare FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 75 match minutes in a wonderful position. Dorival Mazza didn't get a good kick on the ball. Arapiranga SC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that José Vítor Mumbach was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-0. José Vítor Mumbach hit a great freekick 93 minutes into the match.
