When Nilson Azevedo came up free with the goalie in the 10th minute, the Poeira SS fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Nilson Azevedo couldn't finish the play. Cícero Proença came out of the goal in the 11th minute to try and stop a shot by Poeira SS's Dráusio Loureiro. But to his dismay, Dráusio Loureiro quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. A hard shot 16 in the game by Joélson Sena from a close distance when the talented Jeferson Gonçalves managed to make a qualified save. Poeira SS's players were relieved. In the 18th match minute, Data AD was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Emanuel Marquez to maneuver through the defense. Dráusio Loureiro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 19th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. With a little luck, Poeira SS's Jeferson Gonçalves got control of the ball when Emanuel Marquez tried to sneak it across the goal line. Joélson Sena sent away a hard shot on goal in the 29th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Emanuel Marquez might have been able to make a better finish in the 31st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Jeferson Gonçalves. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Emanuel Marquez ran back to his position shaking his head. After a defensive mix-up in Data AD's zone, Dráusio Loureiro stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Cícero Proença came out of the goal and Dráusio Loureiro tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Dráusio Loureiro in the 36th minute of play forced Data AD's goalkeeper Cícero Proença to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Nilson Azevedo's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Cícero Proença read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 40th minute of play. Poeira SS's Dráusio Loureiro got a good chance for a goal in the 45th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The supporters of Poeira SS booed when Data AD was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 46 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gilberto de Andrade didn't get a good kick on the ball. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Dráusio Loureiro to strike the kick off in the second half. After 52 minutes, Lúcio da Costa mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Poeira SS and the Data AD players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 52nd minute, Lúcio da Costa hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Jeferson Gonçalves took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Emanuel Marquez, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. A collision led to Poeira SS getting a freekick after 54 minutes play. Alex Hames hit a great ball. 56 minutes into the match, Poeira SS's goal looked a bit too open when Emanuel Marquez came free, but Jeferson Gonçalves reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Jeferson Gonçalves showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Wilton Furtado in the 66th minute of the match. Nilson Azevedo struck a weak shot in the 68th minute. Cícero Proença didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Poeira SS. In the 72nd match minute, Poeira SS was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Raphael Pena to maneuver through the defense. After a defensive mix-up in Data AD's zone, Nilson Azevedo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Cícero Proença came out of the goal and Nilson Azevedo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 85th minute Emanuel Marquez shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jeferson Gonçalves saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Poeira SS had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
