An unexpectedly hard shot by Agostinho Eger in the 10th minute of play forced Tuneiras SS's goalkeeper Luizão Moraes to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Custódio Salgado's late challenge caught a Curimatai's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Custódio Salgado helped the player get up and apologised. In the 12th minute, Custódio Salgado hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Agostinho Eger's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Luizão Moraes read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 16th minute of play. Tuneiras SS's Elias Recife was standing unmarked in front of the goal when he, in the 22nd play minute, got the ball and easily drilled it into the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Elias Recife in the 26th minute of play forced Curimatai's goalkeeper Valdo de Alcântara to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Tuneiras SS's Juninho de Castro got a good chance for a goal in the 27th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Valdo de Alcântara showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Elias Recife in the 29th minute of the match. Luizão Moraes took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Agostinho Eger, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side.

After 53 minutes of play, Tuneiras SS's Juninho de Castro made it 2-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Valdo de Alcântara was left in no man's land by his defense there! The supporters of Tuneiras SS booed when Curimatai was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 58 match minutes in a wonderful position. Luís Eduardo Vinhas didn't get a good kick on the ball. Cesinha da Mata, 58 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. Juninho de Castro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 61st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Elias Recife received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 62nd minute. Valdo de Alcântara tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Luís Eduardo Vinhas charged in rather forcefully in the 69th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Luís Eduardo Vinhas the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Luís Eduardo Vinhas kicked well hit freekick during the 69th minute of the match. 70 minutes into the game, Juninho de Castro cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-0. Valdo de Alcântara was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Curimatai's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Tuneiras SS the free kick. A collision led to Curimatai getting a freekick after 77 minutes play. Agostinho Eger hit a great ball. Elias Recife sent away a hard shot on goal in the 83rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. A hard shot 87 in the game by Agostinho Eger from a close distance when the talented Luizão Moraes managed to make a qualified save. Tuneiras SS's players were relieved. When Luís Eduardo Vinhas came up free with the goalie in the 88th minute, the Curimatai fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Luís Eduardo Vinhas couldn't finish the play. Delfim Lira received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Luizão Moraes came out and tried to block the shot, but Delfim Lira slotted it home off the left post making it 3-1 in the 90th minute.
