The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Washington Freitas received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 5th minute. Ronaldinho Braga tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Videla's Roger Vinhas got a free kick in the 6th minute. Gopouva EC's Alberto Azevedo got a good chance for a goal in the 24th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The supporters of Gopouva EC booed when Videla was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 31 match minutes in a wonderful position. Erivaldo Eger didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Videla's zone, Alberto Azevedo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. César Batista came out of the goal and Alberto Azevedo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Alberto Azevedo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 37th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Washington Freitas fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 39th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ronaldinho Braga having to interfere. Ronaldinho Braga showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jefferson Veloso in the 41st minute of the match. Ronaldinho Braga took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Washington Freitas, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Jefferson Veloso sent away a hard shot on goal in the 45th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 46th minute, Caetano Aguiar hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Washington Freitas received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 47th minute. Ronaldinho Braga tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.

The wind increased when Jefferson Veloso made the kick off in the second half. If Washington Freitas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 53rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Gopouva EC's Ronaldinho Braga played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jefferson Veloso in the 54th minute of play. A collision led to Videla getting a freekick after 56 minutes play. Jefferson Veloso hit a great ball. 70 minutes into the match, Videla's Jefferson Veloso sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Ronaldinho Braga narrowly saved just below the crossbar. When Jefferson Veloso came up free with the goalie in the 72nd minute, the Videla fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Jefferson Veloso couldn't finish the play. Jefferson Veloso fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 79th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ronaldinho Braga having to interfere. When Videla's Jefferson Veloso in 82 game minutes managed to cut through with the ball in front of the goal, only having to shoot. Ronaldinho Braga guarding the goal like a pit bull was extremely focused and managed to reach the ball just by the crossbar before it went in. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jefferson Veloso in the 86th minute of play forced Gopouva EC's goalkeeper Ronaldinho Braga to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 88th play minute Renan Figueiredo came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Ronaldinho Braga. 0-2. In the 92nd minute, Jefferson Veloso fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Ronaldinho Braga, passed just outside the right post. Washington Freitas fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 95th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ronaldinho Braga having to interfere. Ronaldinho Braga took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jefferson Veloso, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The Videla players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
