Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Ciro Ramos scored 0-1 in the 3rd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Evaristo dos Santos, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. 8 minutes into the match, Murilo Vale had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Evaristo dos Santos. Melquiades's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Murilo Vale was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. Almir Fontes could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 23rd minute of the match, but Juvenal da Costa made a huge save. Fontainha's Murilo Vale got a good chance for a goal in the 26th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After 30 played minutes Melquiades got a freekick which was hit by Diego de Amorim. Murilo Vale recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 31st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Murilo Vale fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 33rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Evaristo dos Santos having to interfere. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Murilo Vale in the 38th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Evaristo dos Santos prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Almir Fontes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 42nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Juvenal da Costa having to interfere. Décio Zonta's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Evaristo dos Santos read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 45th minute of play. After having played for 49 minutes, César Gaspar managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Melquiades's supporters crossed their fingers, but César Gaspar was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The Melquiades players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Fontainha were winning 0-3.
Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Ciro Ramos to make the kick off. Juvenal da Costa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Almir Fontes in the 54th minute of play. 55 minutes into the game, Válbson Messias cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-3. Juvenal da Costa was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Murilo Vale received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 62nd minute. Evaristo dos Santos tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ciro Ramos recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 63rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After a rather tough play, Melquiades's Diego de Amorim got a free kick in the 64th minute. Almir Fontes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 69th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Juvenal da Costa having to interfere. In the 71st minute, Válbson Messias ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Juvenal da Costa was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-3. Décio Zonta kicked well hit freekick during the 75th minute of the match. César Gaspar, 76 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. Almir Fontes took the ball and in the 78 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Juvenal da Costa. Juvenal da Costa dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-3. Juvenal da Costa came out of the goal in the 81st minute to try and stop a shot by Melquiades's Válbson Messias. But to his dismay, Válbson Messias quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 4-3. Sílvio Luiz Pernambucano hit a great freekick 92 minutes into the match. Murilo Vale fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 96th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Evaristo dos Santos having to interfere. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Melquiades had won after a very even match.
