Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Zé Augusto Lago made the kick off which started today's match. Gilmar Trigo struck a weak shot in the 4th minute. Olavo Arce didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Valenca. Albertinho Nascimento could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 10th minute of the match, but Afonsinho Sá made a huge save. With a little luck, Valenca's Afonsinho Sá got control of the ball when Albertinho Nascimento tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 21st minute, Orlando de Toledo got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Orlando de Toledo in the 23rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Afonsinho Sá prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 26 minutes into the game, Nestor Faria cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Olavo Arce was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. If Zé Augusto Lago had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 29th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Zé Augusto Lago in the 30th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Olavo Arce prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Albertinho Nascimentos short, quick shot in the 31stth minute got Afonsinho Sá to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Orlando de Toledo struck a weak shot in the 40th minute. Afonsinho Sá didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Purilandia. Albertinho Nascimento fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 45th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Afonsinho Sá having to interfere. Afonsinho Sá made an important save on a dangerous shot by Albertinho Nascimento in the 47th minute. The Purilandia players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Valenca were winning 0-1.
The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Orlando de Toledo stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Thanks to some nice moves Gilmar Trigo could shoot a difficult shot in the 51st minute, which Olavo Arce however easily saved by the left post. Orlando de Toledo struck a weak shot in the 54th minute. Afonsinho Sá didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Purilandia. After some careless play in the Valenca defense, Orlando de Toledo kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Afonsinho Sá. The Valenca fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Afonsinho Sá should have stopped the shot. Afonsinho Sá took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Orlando de Toledo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Afonsinho Sá came out of the goal in the 71st minute to try and stop a shot by Purilandia's Orlando de Toledo. But to his dismay, Orlando de Toledo quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-1. After a rather tough play, Purilandia's Fiori Arruda got a free kick in the 75th minute. Nestor Faria recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 81st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Afonsinho Sá showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Albertinho Nascimento, who was totally free with the ball in the 84th minute. In the 89th minute of the match Mário de Mendonça shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Afonsinho Sá showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Orlando de Toledo in the 91st minute of play forced Valenca's goalkeeper Afonsinho Sá to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Purilandia's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
