Jean Guerras short, quick shot in the 16thth minute got Ediberto Prestes to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. 21 minutes into the match, Babia's goalkeeper Ediberto Prestes had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Jean Guerra. Caraiba's Nilson Varela played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Roberto Passos in the 25th minute of play. 29 minutes into the match, Caraiba's Jean Guerra sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Ediberto Prestes narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 75th minute, Jean Guerra got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal.
