Otávio Favoretto showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Arlindo Severo in the 3rd minute of the match. Silvério da Mata kicked well hit freekick during the 4th minute of the match. Natanael de Almeida sent away a hard shot on goal in the 5th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After having played for 7 minutes, Vinícius Gaspar managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ipira FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Vinícius Gaspar was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 9th minute Vinícius Gaspar shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ediberto Prestes saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The attack was good, but when Vinícius Gaspar in the 12th minute was about to shoot he didn't kick quite good enough and the ball went high over goal. Ediberto Prestes didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Vinícius Gaspar went, in the 13th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. In the 17th minute, Leopoldo Cosme made a precise shot to the right of Ediberto Prestes. Babia's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-2. Babia's Ediberto Prestes played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Silvério da Mata in the 28th minute of play. If Vinícius Gaspar had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 33rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ediberto Prestes stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Leopoldo Cosme's shot from short distance in the 35th minute. 37 minutes into the match, Ipira FC's Vinícius Gaspar sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Ediberto Prestes narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 39th minute, Leopoldo Cosme left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Ipira FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-3. After 46 played minutes Ipira FC got a freekick which was hit by Norberto Ramos. 46 minutes into the match, Babia's Nuno Tavares broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-3.

Ediberto Prestes made a fantastic save in the 51st minute, when Leopoldo Cosme sent off a good shot on target. Norberto Ramos charged in rather forcefully in the 54th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Norberto Ramos the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Babia's Natanael de Almeida got a good chance for a goal in the 55th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Leopoldo Cosme fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 61st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ediberto Prestes having to interfere. In the 64th minute, Alfredão Galvão hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Ediberto Prestes didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Leopoldo Cosme went, in the 68th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-4 was the resulting score. When Roberto Passos came up free with the goalie in the 71st minute, the Babia fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Roberto Passos couldn't finish the play. Vinícius Gaspar struck a weak shot in the 79th minute. Ediberto Prestes didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Ipira FC. Natanael de Almeida fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 84th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Otávio Favoretto having to interfere. Otávio Favoretto showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Roberto Passos, who was totally free with the ball in the 91st minute. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Ipira FC eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
