A collision led to Bateias getting a freekick after 6 minutes play. Zacarias Sarmento hit a great ball. Hamílton Brito hit a great freekick 7 minutes into the match. Conrado Berger was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 8th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. After a defensive mix-up in Bateias's zone, Norberto de Barros stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Adalberto Castro came out of the goal and Norberto de Barros tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 13th minute Gildo da Costa shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Giuseppe da Silva saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 14 played minutes Bateias got a freekick which was hit by Diamantino Freire. When Zacarias Sarmento fell near the penalty area in the 20th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Bateias's protests and gave Zacarias Sarmento a yellow card for diving instead. In the 26th minute, Norberto de Barros left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Umarizeira FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-0. After 29 played minutes Umarizeira FC got a freekick which was hit by Norberto de Barros. Gildo da Costa sent away a hard shot on goal in the 31st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 33rd match minute, Umarizeira FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Cido Lira to maneuver through the defense. Giuseppe da Silva made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gildo da Costa in the 34th minute of play. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Gildo da Costa to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 53rd minute, Felipe Loyola hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Diamantino Freire in the 55thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Giuseppe da Silva, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. In the 59th minute Gildo da Costa shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Giuseppe da Silva saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Diamantino Freire sent away a hard shot on goal in the 60th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Gildo da Costa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 62nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 67th minute, Umarizeira FC's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Diamantino Freire fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Gildo da Costa received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 69th minute. Giuseppe da Silva tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ronaldo Barbosa fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 70th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Adalberto Castro having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Norberto de Barros in the 75th minute of play forced Bateias's goalkeeper Adalberto Castro to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Adalberto Castro stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Norberto de Barros's shot from short distance in the 78th minute. In the 84th minute, Gildo da Costa got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 86thth minute of the game Gildo da Costa who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Umarizeira FC's Giuseppe da Silva was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Norberto de Barros received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 88th minute. Adalberto Castro tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Hélio de Almeida fell near the penalty area in the 89th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. In the 93rd minute, Ronaldo Barbosa got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Ronaldo Barbosa recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 96th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal.
